Home automation is when technology and convenience converge, allowing the electronic devices that you use every day—lights, TVs, audio equipment, security panels, thermostats, and so on—to communicate with one another. Picture this. Your family sits down to enjoy a movie, but if you’re like most people, it takes at least three or four remotes to actually get to that point. Then after the movie finally begins, you have to get up and turn off or dim the lights.

Morning Scenes

For example, your lights could turn on at 10%, and during the course of ten minutes, gradually rise to 80%. The television or bedroom music would turn on at a low volume, also increasing over time, and your shades would slowly open to reveal the sunlight.
Away Mode
Sometimes leaving the house can be quite the task. Did you turn off all of your lights? Did you set your thermostat to the correct temperature? With home automation, you don’t have to worry about any of that. Simply press a button on your keypad next to the door and your home will put itself into an “away” mode-turning off all lights and setting the temperature just where you want it. It can also arm your alarm system and even lock all of your doors for you.
